Ginger Root To The Rescue!

Some may notice when waiting at the juice bar they may hear someone ask for a ginger shot.  That is right a shot of juiced ginger. It may not be the tastiest thing but it is can be one of the most helpful when it concerns full body health.  Ginger root is well known as a remedy for travel sickness, nausea and indigestion.  Research has also been done that it may aid in the lowering high blood pressure and boost circulation.  It has been reported that Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory herb and there has been much recent interest in its use for joint problems. It has also been indicated for arthritis, fevers, headaches, toothaches, coughs, bronchitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, to ease tendonitis, lower cholesterol and blood-pressure and aid in preventing internal blood clots.

Ginger may be taken orally as an herbal remedy to prevent or relieve nausea resulting from chemotherapy, motion sickness, pregnancy, and surgery.

Aside from boosting immune system and overall body health, most take ginger to aid in weight lost.  Ginger is used to clear all toxins in the body.  Most consume ginger before every meal because it is said to control the appetite.

As a juice- you can add lemon and honey to aid with sickness or add lemon and cayenne pepper to aid with digestion.

In hot tea- cut up a chunk of ginger with lemon and honey.

In soup- adding grated ginger to creamy soups.
